1. Purpose

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Geek Advent Calendar platform, accessible at https://geek-advent.com (hereinafter "the Platform"). By accessing the Platform, you accept these Terms without reservation.

2. Service Description

Geek Advent Calendar is a free educational platform offering:

• Daily programming challenges during the Advent period
• A progression system with XP, levels, and badges
• A participant leaderboard
• Rewards for top participants

3. Registration and User Account

Registration is free and open to any individual. To create an account, you must:

• Provide a valid email address
• Create a secure password or use Google authentication
• Be at least 13 years old (or have parental consent)

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities performed from your account.

4. Acceptable Use

By using the Platform, you agree to:

• Respect other users and their work
• Not cheat or use unfair means to progress
• Not submit illegal, offensive, or malicious content
• Not attempt to compromise the security of the Platform
• Not create multiple accounts to circumvent rules
• Not use bots or automated scripts

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Platform Content

All content on the Platform (texts, challenges, design, logos) is the property of Geek Advent Calendar and is protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.

5.2 User Content

You retain ownership of your submitted solutions and code. By submitting them, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store and process them for the operation of the service.

6. Leaderboard and Rewards

The leaderboard is based on XP accumulated by each user. The following rules apply:

• Only legitimately completed challenges are counted
• In case of proven cheating, the account will be disqualified
• Rewards are given to the top 5 on December 25th
• Winners will be contacted by email
• We reserve the right to modify rewards

7. Challenge Validation

7.1 Automated Tests

Some challenges are validated automatically by running tests. Your code is executed in a secure and isolated environment.

7.2 AI Validation

Project challenges are evaluated by an artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) that analyzes your screenshot. This evaluation is indicative and may have margins of error.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted availability of the service
• Absence of bugs or errors
• Accuracy of AI evaluation
• Compatibility with all browsers

Under no circumstances shall we be liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the Platform.

9. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or delete your account in case of:

• Violation of these Terms
• Harmful behavior towards other users
• Cheating or fraud attempts
• Abusive use of the service

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us by email.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be announced on the Platform. By continuing to use the Platform after modifications, you accept the new Terms.

11. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts.
